Give yourself enough time during peak hours: arrive at the airport early to not be stressed for time.
Checking-in
I check in online to save time. I select my seat and options, and depending on my destination, I add a digital copy of my travel documents to my booking to simplify airport formalities. I can also obtain my digital boarding pass.
Baggage
Separate your checked baggage from your hand baggage, and make sure their weight and size conform with Air France guidelines.
Dropping off your luggage the day before
Drop off your luggage at Paris-Charles de Gaulle the day before departure, and go directly to your gate on your scheduled travel date.
Have a streamlined experience at border controls
Use PARAFE if you enter or exit the Schengen zone. The automized border control, open to all members of the European Union, is now also open to other nationalities.
Smoother checkpoints
Place the liquids, gels, and aerosols (less than 100 ml/3.4 oz) you wish to bring on board in an easy to reach transparent plastic bag (1 L/33.8 fl. oz max).
Information to passengers
The French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs provides travel advisories for your stays abroad. It also invites you to register with Fil d'Ariane before your departure, to receive notifications by SMS or email in the event of an exceptional situation.
