RESTRICTIONS ON TRAVEL TO ENTER/EXIT ANGOLA

TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS

Worldwide, the COVID-19 developments differ per country and region. Gradually, it is possible again to travel, but governments have set travel restrictions.  The Angolan government has put in place restrictions that we need to adhere to in order to operate commercial international flights. Please note that as the COVID-19 situation changes on a daily basis, these guidelines are also subject to change.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO TRAVEL FROM ANGOLA?

Yes, the Angolan borders are now open and you are allowed to travel from Angola as long as you have the correct travel documentation and fulfil the health requirements to enter the country of your final destination and transit port of entry. The need to present proof of a PCR test is no longer mandatory and the presentation of a negative SARS-COV-2 Covid-19 test will now depend on the entry requirements of the destination country. This change only applies to fully vaccinated passengers with vaccination certificates recognized by the destination country. All vaccinated passengers traveling from Angola must present the Angolan airport authorities with a printed digital copy of the COVID-19 vaccination certificate, and all non-vaccinated passengers must present a copy of the antigen test or negative SARS-COV-2 RT-PCR test with the sample taken no more than 48 hours prior to departure or recovery certificate (valid for a minimum of 11 days maximum 6 months). Travellers are advised to prepare well for their journey by checking the travel and health restrictions of the countries to which they travel. This can be done via the Air France website Travel Doc or via the IATA Travel Centre website.

  • No measures (tests, isolation) are in effect upon arrival in metropolitan France.

The current modalities of entry into France apply strictly according to country classification and vaccination status and for all passengers aged 12 years or older. The vaccination schedule is considered complete 28 days after receiving one dose of Janssen vaccine, seven days after a second dose of other vaccines approved by the European Medicines Agency (namely Pfizer/Comirnaty, Moderna, AstraZeneca/Vaxzevria/Covishield) and, for persons who have received all the required doses of a WHO-licensed vaccine not approved by the European Medicines Agency, seven days after receiving an additional dose of a duly approved mRNA vaccine. Since 1 February 2022, in order for their vaccination schedule to continue to be recognized as complete, persons aged 18 years or older wishing to enter French territory must have received a booster dose of messenger RNA vaccine no later than nine months after receiving the last mandatory dose.
